X LE MAKES HER FIRST OVERALL PODIUM IN SUPERKART STATE CHAMPIONSHIP
Racing into the weekend with a new (to her) kart, the # 88 Superkart doesn’t just look different - It RIPS.
Round 3 of the 2026 Ultimate Steel Framing AASA Superkart State Championship sees X Le finish P2 in her class and P2 overall, proving once again that consistency is key.
With support from Rectitude Tiling & Bathrooms and Andrew Cain, X Le was able to come to grips with the new # 88 Superkart by the third race of the day, winning her class in both the final twofourth races as her confidence grew.
This weekend saw Le’s first DNF in the first race of the weekend, following a mechanical failure exasperated by a bit of understeer over the ripple strips out at turn 4.
Finally able to race wheel-to-wheel against her competitors Jack Murray (# 25) and Dave Dyson (# 33), X had a blast getting up to speed and will be confident heading back to Queensland Raceway for round 4 in July.
See what our driver had to say about the weekend below.
X-LOG:
“qld superkarts round # 3: P2 in class, and P2 overall! this round saw the official debut of x racing's new kart, revealing the bittersweet retirement of the wildcard superkart.
our new kart doesn't have a name yet, but he's proven to be a worthy contender. it's fast, smooth, and by the end of the weekend we were unstoppable.
unfortunately, the first race of the weekend delivered our first DNF of the season due to a mechanical failure after a little trip over the ripple strips in turn four. this may have cost us the win, but this was a much-needed lesson it turns out, because for the rest of the weekend, we were hitting this corner with insane pace. figuring out the limits in this new and faster kart early on.
race two was still a struggle. came to terms with handling and found more limits, but kept it running until the end for a P2 finish in my class.
races three and four saw us qualifying P3 and P4 overall respectively, and going on to winning our class in both. finally had some battles going with murray and dyson and got to keep up with them to learn and absorb as much as i could from the two and their more extensive exprience. this was an amazing feeling considering the struggle we've had with power this year so far. the kart gave us mega power out of the corners and so we got faster and faster, breaking new ground for us with a 1.29.00 flat lap around the national layout at 158km/hr top speed and 85km/hr lowest. looking to break into the 1.28's next round. eventually, looking to break the lap record for our class - but we’re a ways away from that, still. baby steps.
finishing three of four races and winning two of those in my class put me at P2 overall for the weekend- my first overall podium result in the rotax.
after the pain of round # 2 and the fear of failure that followed me like a cloud into this one, i have so many to thank as always. andrew cain for the kart and the blood he's put into making it sing, and the belief he had in me. nicholas raymond for his pep talks and for jumping in to help with the kart. jack murray drove an amazing weekend and stayed as consistent as ever, showed me what real speed looks like through turns 1 and 2. steve murray to the rescue again with spare parts.
good shit. 😁 'til round # 4.”
